I have acquiesce in with the foregoing con, the packaging on these bar stools is non-existant. They were only wrapped in a soft bag, then overloaded loosely 2 per box. They arrived scuffed & gouged, one plane beam was sporadic out of order. Amazon is sending replacements, and I will update & crop this reconsider when they get to.
They are satisfactory with a unerring 360 grade pirouette. The wood drink up is a bit darker than pictured. I rely on the replacements get there come in richer reconsider image!
Edited 1/3/09: I received replacements, one at a dated, and they were not damaged. But they were not very brawny, so I am returning these also. Don’t advocate, I want I could rephrase the 4 starts I from the first gave.

Tumpet1 aksed: Me and my family are moving to a new house, and I have to take my old bed set. :( My dad says that I can paint my bed set white, which I REALLY want to do, but I can't if I have to sand it.
I see commercials everyday about molecular binding paint to plastic, what about to finished wood? There has to be something!

L.J. answered: The main problem would be that, because the wood is finished it has a smooth, glossy coating which doesn't allow for the paint to grip anything. You can paint your bed as is but you risk the paint not sticking properly. Once it dries, it might start to chip and flake off. Which will be annoying.
If you aren't willing or able to sand but are prepared to deal with possible flaking and thus many repairs, then I'd suggest at least priming before you paint.
If it's the flaking you're worried about then you can always get and old sheet and put it under the area you're working on so that the dust lands on that instead of yor floor. Or at least have a vaccum next to you to grab it all up every now and then.

The paint will NOT stick unless you sand it first. You do NOT have to sand it completely (right down to the wood) just rough the surface, paint with a primer and then the color you want it to be.....
The paint for plastics....is for PLASTICS only.
Where to buy steel bed frame and high headboard?
Mikayla aksed: I am in the Chicago, IL area and I was wondering where I can buy a steel bed frame for a twin bed set because I previously had a wooden bed frame that is weak and breaking down. Also, I double an extra matress on top of my existing one so I would need a high bed headboard possibly made out of white-painted wood? Any ideas as to where I can get these?
