sturdy, but too tall for a shorter mommyI have to say this is a sturdy crib, and it has already made one major move during which it was taken apart and reassembled (all except the changing table piece), and it is still as sturdy as it was the first time we put it together. However, I am realizing that as my daughter gets heavier (we moved when she was 2 months old and around 10 lbs; the movers dropped it off around her 3rd month birthday, and she's grown so fast!) it gets harder to hoist her up onto the table or even over the railing since I am fairly short (5'1"). It would be so much nicer if I didn't need a stepping stool to change her diaper in order to save my aching back or if I could just lean over to lay her into the crib once she is asleep rather than first lifting her up to get her over the railing (it's a challenge to have her slumber through the process). I'd still recommend the crib, but only to my vertically gifted friends! It just didn't occur to this first-time mom that some cribs would be taller than others.
Very nice, sturdy, good looking pieceI just received and assembled the Madison and am very pleased. Assembly did take a while but it was worth the time to get it done right. The piece is very sturdy, not flimsy at all, and looks very attractive. I bought the crib in white and the sides of the boards that make the shelves are unfinished light brown (not white) particle board (they are white on the top though), and it would have been nice to have the color on the sides, but it is not significantly noticeable. I like that all of the pieces needed to convert the bed to daybed/toddler bed/full headboard are already included. For the price, this was definitely worth it, and in my opinion looks much nicer and is better quality than cheaper cribs and changing tables that are even more expensive. Even being petite/small and 7 months pregnant, I was able to put all of it together by myself, except for screwing in the bed base, which needed to be held level, but instructions were simple and straightforward and I only needed a Phillips head screwdriver. Very satisfied with the purchase! Also, although the external packaging was beat up, the crib pieces were well wrapped and secured, so there was no shipping damage. I did notice a few small nicks in the wood, but again, nothing significant or return-worthy.
NightmareI first ordered this crib on July 3rd, on the 13th it wasn't shipped yet, I started to send Amazon e-mails,they said some "technical" problem happened and my order my "stuck"... I had to re order again, but then the crib was about $100 more expensive at the time... Amazon told me they would not charge me a single penny more than I've paid before... They did charged me, thank God I had room in my account for that non-sense...I e-mail Amazon again, they apologize and pay me back... The crib gets here on the 21st, at 8 pm, I'm about to have a stroke, I'm 36 weeks pregnant and this crib was the last thing missing for my baby, me and my husband open the box... I'm a little upset, a lot of the parts are scratched and some dents, I just settle for it, my baby can come any time now, and I'm not about to wait almost a month to get another crib. While putting together, we find out that the changer shelves are not fitting right and it comes with a changing pad, which by the time we bought, it didn't say anything about it (now it does) and we bought a changing pad,expensive one that wont fit on the changing table, which is tiny.
I couldn't be more disappointed with this crib,I will never buy a Crib out of Amazon again,ever.
Also, the parts and screws don't come with any label, you have to guess what is what,look ast the pictures and see which one looks like the thing they are asking.
Great Crib, Great PriceThe crib is great, and i love that it comes with a changing table and its convertible. Its a pretty decent crib and a bargain as well. The only thing is that I would like the option to have the changing table separated from the crib.

The crib arrived on time and was installed in about 4 hrs. The one thing we didn't account for was its bulk and weight when complete. This is not a crib that can be moved around easily.
We love the dressing/changing table. Diapers and wipes are easily accessible and out of sight. The only issue is that as a full crib, the dressing table can't be separated. It is attached to the crib. Period. I wish it were detachable.
But, all said, my 3 month old son has slept in it since the day he arrived from the hospital. It is pretty sturdy. My 3 yr old daughter jumps around in it when she thinks we aren't looking and the crib doesn't seem to be any worse for it.
We use the under crib storage for extra blankets and bed covers. A real convenience.
In all a good buy.
