Rick and Wendy Henriksen fell in love with Park Place the moment they laid eyes upon it. A project in process for the past 15 years, their vision and energy has helped build on the artistic vision of the original owners to bring together a well balanced park-like setting with splashes of formal and informal gardens.
The entryway with the majestic fountain as the focal point provides the perfect blend of formal hedges — boxwood and azalea — and an eclectic use of shrubs and trees, creating a sense of "relaxed formality."
As you enter the park (aka Rick and Wendy's backyard), Rick's Birthday Garden by the well house is carefully guarded by the watchful eye

The flower patterned fabrics are Robert Allen's Fleur Flocked pattern. We went with the boldest, the one with the most contrast; the color is called 'Kohl'. The fabric is great - tough to tell in the pic but the flower part is raised and woven into the flat woven cotton base - great texture...
