Great bed
We bought this to use with our memory foam mattress instead of the metal Smartbase. It was very easy to assemble and works well with the trundle that we also purchased made by the same company. It looks nice and is very sturdy and you can stain it or leave it plain like I did.
Platform bed
I haven't as yet actually put this bed together as I am in the process of staining it.
The product arrived in a timely manner, in good condition and all the parts and
hardware were accounted for. I can tell by looking at the quality that it will be a
good solid bed and is exactly what I wanted. I will be purchasing other items from
this company as the prices are really reasonable and budget friendly.
Wasted weeks of my time
I wish I could actually review the product, but I can't. This is just a warning about The Room Doctor. They charged my credit card 8 weeks ago and when I finally called about the status of my frame they said it will go out in a few days, they were still working on it. Well, they sure didn't have to work very long to charge my credit card. I canceled my order and decided to order from a reputable company. I know this space should be reserved for reviews of the product, but I think a warning about this company is just as important.
Great Bed
I got this in a a full size for my 15 yr old daughter. We painted it black before assembly, which was easily done with just the two of us. We put it in a corner with lots of pillows against the walls. It makes a perfect lounging area for her and her friends. It is very study and looks great. Also has plenty of clearance for storage underneath. I will be getting another for my son.
Great bed for temporary housing!
I bought this bed to use when I moved into an apartment for a short-term lease and needed something that was easy to move. It comes unassembled as really just a few planks of wood in two long boxes. As a 100-lb girl, I was able to put it together myself in no time. It's extremely sturdy, doesn't squeak or rock, and is tall enough to fit Xerox boxes underneath for storage. When it came time to move, I could easily disassemble it, pack it up, and move it myself! It also takes up very little storage space while I'm not using it. When the bed is made with a traditional comforter, the only wood you can see is the legs, so it really fits with any decor. I'm considering buying a larger size in the future to use permanently. Overall, a fantastic buy and a great product!

Easy, sturdy, attractive
The package could be put in a honda civic. It took 30 minutes to put together with my boyfriend. It looks great. Very sturdy. I use a 10 inch foam mattress.
Nomad Queen Review
I do not usually write product reviews. However, I will for this product. The price was definitely an issue in my purchase. But outside of that the reviews were also as important. In the end it becomes a personal decision. I took the plunge and the item arrived a little earlier than expected. Since this unit was to be set-up in our guest room, I was not concerned about finishing it, so I left it natural as it came from the box. The box: everything was very well packaged and the frame was excellent as to its looks and durability. Putting it together was very very simple. Yes it does help to have two people, but if it is a single person job, then get a foot stool to act as a second person. Take your time and in less than 30 minutes you are done. Others had made reference to the center section being too wide, no issue for me as I was using box springs and mattress. Wife loves the fact that it now looks like a princess bed because of how high it sits when everything is together. I am very pleased with the entire experience and usability of this product and would highly recommend it to anyone that asked.
Great bed if you need to store stuff underneath it
We've had this bed for a month now and are loving it. It's a very basic bed but the real attraction is that the sides have a clearance of almost 12 inches. We had some custom-made drawers that rolled out from underneath our full-sized bed that we wanted to keep using and this bed accommodated them nicely. The bed is fairly easy to assemble. I recommend having a second person help in order to just stabilize the parts you are trying to connect. However, I was able to put it together myself in under an hour by resting parts against walls and on top of the existing drawers I had. So, if you have something between 10 and 12 inches high that you can rest the bed on, you can assemble this by yourself just as well.

I also enjoy that the bed does not creak at all. It may be because I have tightened it enough, although they recommend a re-tightening after one month which I will do. It may also be because it has no headboard piece that might squeak. We applied a finish to the bed just to protect it and because the wood was pretty bare it absorbed 3 coats before we felt comfortable with assembling the bed.

One comment about the seller -- we had a shipping snafu that they immediately corrected with very little hassle. I just recommend checking the box you receive before you take apart your old bed. *grin* Anyway, they were a pleasure to work with and the bed is working out nicely. Because of the high height of the bed, we do not use a box spring with our mattress and I couldn't imagine even doing so.
simple and clean
My husband really likes this bed for all the storage underneath it, and it's simple design. He put it together really fast, but there were a few tiny splinters that we have to sweep up. I had him sand down the corners because I kept bumping my leg into it, and it really hurt, since we have a small bedroom. I also notice that I can feel the slats if I sit up in bed, but that is because I have a latex mattress, and I need to get some firmer layers because my latex layers are too soft. But that is a whole other story. As for the bed frame, overall I'm glad we got it. We will be attaching it to a headboard my husband made me. I will try and post a pic later. For the price and the fact that it is a nice tulip popular wood, it is well worth it.
Performs exactly as advertised

Did the job!
I live in a very small apartment and probabley own way too many shoes than I need however still not wanting to throw any out I had a serious shoe storage problem on my hands! The plastic under the bed shoe storage bags usually over time always ripped and the cardboard inserts I hated or the other style with the vinyl inserts the shoes never stayed where they were supposed to! With that being said this was the next best thing to a solution. I wanted something on wheels made of wood and fairly reasonable. I hate assembling anything but this wasn't that bad ladies you CAN do it. It's a strong under bed storage drawer with wheels. The only thing is if you have carpet the wheels don't roll as easily as I would have liked. I also went out and bought a handle and screwed it into the front to make pushing it in and out easier a mere $4.00 dollar investment well worth it. I also went a step further and called this company to ask them to please make us ladies one with compartments for the shoes (made of wood of course) that I think it would be a tremendous seller!!! Hopefully they will listen and we can all benefit from a descent under bed storage for shoes instead of having to deal with the crappy plastic ones any longer. I didn't give it five stars only because of the wheels not rolling as easily on carpet, no shoe compartments which is what I just happen to be using it for, and no handle to make it pull out easier. You can stain it yourself to make it look more appealing as well. All in all It is 10 times better than the plastic one and I am satisfied with the construction as well. It did the job and is a good product!

Quality product made in the USA.
This product was puchased for my daughters college apartment. The fact that it was easy to transport and assemble was a real plus. The finish was excellent. All part lined up perfectly. Twin size does not require additional plywood for support for the mattress.
Excellent product for the cost
Pros
- Very easy and quick assembly time (1/2 hr max) with 2 people who are not tool savvy.
- Ample space below for storage.
- Sturdy bed
- Good wood finish

Cons
- I do not like the slated base for mattress. It may spoil our mattress. Not a con for this particular bed but any slatted bed base.

Overall. Excellent buy for the cost we paid.
Simple, yet solid.
A quality product at a low cost. Assembles easily and quickly with just one person. The title says it all...it's a very simple and solid bed frame. I expect to sleep on it for years to come. :-)

In regard to staining: I stained mine "ebony". I thought the first coat was too light, so I added a second. But then after finishing with wiping varnish...it was too dark. The single coat, plus varnish, would have been perfect. Nothing to do with the bed itself really, just thought I'd point out how I messed up, maybe it will save someone some hassle.

E could not have known. None of us could have imagined the tragedy that was beyond human understanding and belief. On an icy February day in the year 1862, soldiers gathered at the train depot for their departure to join General Lees army in Richmond. One lone soldier stood apart from the crowd. Weighted down by a heavy outdated Revolutionary War musket, the young soldier unsteadily stood at the edge of the loading platform.
