Wow! This pad is way more than expected.Have been shopping pillow-top matresses after sleeping wonderfully on one at a B&B.Thought..."why not try a Pillow-top pad first since the old mattress is in good shape".Very glad we did. This pad is sooooo comfy.Haven't slept this well in ages.It fits perfectly over our thick mattress and doesn't slip.Never felt the seams between squares even though they look like you might.I'd recommend taking to a commercial laundramat..It would make a pretty hefty load.BA Schultz Sandpoint Idaho
Will be great for Winter but not summer - too warm.
I bought this to give us some relief from the heat of our memory foam mattress. We are roasting! Must be the "microplush" which is wonderfully soft and comfortable other than the heat issue. Looking forward to using it in Winter but even up here in Maine with the A/C on it's too hot for summertime. Putting it away for now, but not unhappy I bought it.
Perfect End to Long Search!
Remember the fairy tale "The Princess and the Pea?" A member of my family IS the princess. Her queen sized mattress, less that 18 months old, was getting more uncomfortable every night. I spent hours searching web sites for a mattress "topper" -- but I didn't want to spend $200-$300 for one! My search on Amazon led me to the Pike Street Overfilled Ultra Soft Microplush Queen Mattress Pad. The reviews were very positive about this product, the price was right, so I crossed my fingers and ordered it.
I can report that after about one month, "The Princess" is now sleeping very well, and I am relieved. The mattress pad fits perfectly, doesn't slip, fluffs up with a good shake, and following instructions on the attached tag, it is washable!

this mattress was one of the best decisions I've made in a long time. The mattress was delivered very fast and in perfect condition. All my pain has disappeared when I awake the next morning. This mattress is much better than any traditional mattress I've owned. It also fluffs right back up and feels like a new mattress every time you lay back down on it.

Great at first, but.......
Purchased a 12" Queen size memory foam mattress from this company less than a year ago. Almost immediately lost support in the base layer which made you feel as though you were going to fall out of bed. Led to many bad nights of sleep & back aches. Contacted company (which almost never answers phone) & they finally agreed to send a new base layer. That was over a month ago. Still no mattress & still not answering the phone. Stay away from this company!!!!

Great Value!
I wasn't sure what to expect considering the low price but we were pleasantly surprised! We love it! We wanted a firm mattress, and it is firm alright(we do have the mattress on a plywood platform), and yet supremely comfortable. The memory foam top isn't as squishy as it looks in the picture, but you can definitely feel your body settling in and being supported. It's soothing and relaxing to lie down and feel the foam conforming underneath you, like being firmly cradled. I used to wake up with backaches, but not anymore! I don't know how it compares to the thicker mattresses that cost three times as much - but if you're looking for a good mattress that won't break the bank this is an exceptional value!

New Hastens bed celebrates Sweden's royal wedding

NEW YORK — American consumers can sleep like royalty, thanks to a new high-end bed from Swedish bedding maker Hastens.

The company, whose U.S. operations are based here, is celebrating the upcoming Swedish royal wedding with a bed it says is fit for a king and queen: The Royal Bed. The all-natural mattress set, a trademark of Hastens, carries a king-sized price tag: $18,000. It will be made in limited quantities and offered for sale only through the end of June.

The bed celebrates the pending marriage of Crown Princess Victoria, heiress-apparent to the Swedish throne, to Daniel Westling, set for this Saturday, June 19, in Stockholm.

Hastens, based in Koping, Sweden, plans to present a Royal Bed to the royal couple as a gift. Consumers visiting 10 Hastens stores in the United States can purchase the bed this month.

I am extremely unsatisfied with the performance and durability of airbeds as you will read in my past posts. Brand really doesn't matter they all seem to under perform especially when taking into consideration their range of prices.

My dad has a Tempur Pedic mattress.You know, the memory foam one? He loves it. I slept on it and found it to offer too much resistance. It wasn't "hard" exactly, but I couldn't get comfortable. Slept on it for a week and I never did enjoy it.
