Good Quality Air Mattress
I haven't yet had guests sleep on this air mattress yet, but we had it blown up for a day or so to see how well the air stayed in, and were happy with the results. It's a nice large size, good for two people. The automatic air pump is great, and makes filling it up and deflating the air mattress really easy. It takes a few minutes and is noisy, but I don't mind that for the convenience of having the air pump included in the mattress. Once we have guests sleep on it for a night or two we will know better how good this mattress is, but so far we are happy with the purchase.
extremely unhappy
I purchase the bed back in December and waited for over a month since it was backordered. After finally receving it I thought the reviews I read were worthy, it looked like a great product. Then I tried to use it. Right next to the pump there was a small tear. I patched it and filled it up. It felt great to lay on. The next four days the unit continued to leak from another area that I couldn't find. When I called to return, customer service was very helpful. However, after receiving the replacement last week, things got worse. First, the unit is completely different than what I originally ordered. When I called, Wenzel said that this bed (which is still listed on Amazon) was no longer available and they sent me a Wenzel bed with the L.L.Bean label. This unit has a rechargeable battery which, it states in the instructions, needs to be charged every month whether I am using it or not. THIS IS NOT WHAT I ORDERED,OR WANT. I don't want to be worried if they unit is charged or not, and it is not designed to be inflated just by the plug in transformer. Now when I did plug the unit in to charge the battery, the transformer overheated after a couple hours and would not work again. When I called this morning to Wenzel they stated they did not know what type of bed they would be replacing this one with because there product line is changing again. Three months, two garbage cans filled with airbeds and one customer who relied on a bunch of good reviews for this product who now doesn't know who to believe when researching a product.

The bed is easy to inflate and is comfortable and holds air well. My only complaint is the noise it makes when i move and the fact that fitted sheets cannot be tucked under anywhere so they and the mattress pad ride up everyday and constantly have to be pulled down. it seems all air bag beds have this problem and if they fix it i would buy a new model. Anyone else have same problem? if so, any suggestions?

Love this bed. It inflates and deflates fast. Easy to sleep on, feels like a real mattress so you don't feel like you're about to fall off the air bed. Have used it many times in the last few months, works as expected.
Very pleased with the air mattress
I purchased the mattress because I was having foot surgery and I didn't want to climb the stairs. The mattress was very comfortable. The height also worked well because it wasn't hard to get in and out of bed. From time to time I had to add more air but that was not a problem. Very easy to inflate and deflate.

Best airbed I've ever experienced
Every airbed I have ever used in the past leaked and was uncomfortable. This is not like any other airbed I have ever used. It pumps up fast, it hardly loses air, it is comfortable, and we don't sink into the middle. It's actually better than our old regular bed. Until we get a new permanent bed, we have been using this for a month and it is simply great.

I bought this bed because I had some guests coming in town from France. It was huge, comfortable and firm. I am really impressed. For such a low price, it is quite a deal. If you are just moving into an apartment, I would recommend one of these until you get furniture. GREAT BED!
Very pleased!
I was looking for a blow up bed that would have the same comfort that a regular bed would. After reading the reviews for this bed I decided to purchase it. i am very glad I did because I think I have found a winner for a very reasonable price. My sister and her husband tested it recently and they were so impressed that they have decided to purchase one for themselves. It was an easy inflate and deflate with the built in pump. It is also high so it was easy to get up and down on and the queen size gives plenty of space.
Great airbed for guests!
I've gone through several airbed in the past (Columbia, Sears brand, Aerobed)...but this one is the best so far, The integrated pump is ingenious. I highly recommend this if you need something for overnight guests - they will appreciate not being on the floor!
Seams popped after the warrantee ended
Four weeks after purchase this Intex air mattress started popping at the seams which created tiny air holes. A call to the company elicited a simple response: Your 30-day warrantee has expired. There is nothing we can do.
After two months I had a dozen patches to fix air holes on the seams. I gave up.
I then bought an aero bed.
At 6'4" and 225 pounds, I am not big enough to cause a size and weight problem. This is simply shoddy manufacturing.

I have ordered the 2009 INTEX 66717E (66717) COMFORT-REST RISING COMFORT RAISED QUEEN AIR MATTRESS AIRBED BED W/ BUILT-IN AC AIR-PUMP. So far the air mattress is holding up and I have no real problems with it. It's a little smaller than I had expected. I ordered it because my other air mattress was not holding up and was leaking (had it for a while) it has been over 2 weeks now and the 2009 INTEX 66717E (66717) COMFORT-REST RISING COMFORT RAISED QUEEN AIR MATTRESS AIRBED BED W/ BUILT-IN AC AIR-PUMP is still full no leaks. Overall so far so good, I am pleased with the mattress...
Great air mattress
This air mattress is great. All I have been hearing from friends with air mattresses and in reviews for different mattresses online is that they all lose air very quickly, leaving you laying on the floor by morning. This mattress is not like that AT ALL. It holds air amazingly. Even after one of my cats put a small hole in it, it still only lost air VERY slowly such that you could lay on it for hours and hours before even noticing. And once we put a patch on it (the mattress comes with a couple of patches just in case), it doesn't lose air anymore. It is actually really comfortable, also. It's much more comfortable than some beds I've slept in, so I definitely recommend it. The only thing I will say is that it is very large, so make sure you have the space for it.
Great air bed!
My Aunt bought this bed and uses it just about every weekend at my familie's home. I'd sat on it a few times and was really impressed. I had spent about $100 on a memory foam air bed, and it wasn't very comfy... not worth the money and it kept losing air. I recently purchased this one for my self and am in love with it. It's so comfortable and sturdy. Well worth the money! highly suggest this bed.
queen airbed
We purchased this to use while our condo was undergoing a complete renovation and we needed to be on premises for short periods of time to talk to workmen. The bed was easy to inflate and deflate; was comfortable and even a nice height. We do have problems with it deflating somewhat overnight and have to refill several times for the two nights we used it. Not sure why. Maybe new and not yet sealed. Overall, a good value.

Perfect Inexpensive Temporary Bed
I recently moved cross country for a duration of only a few months, and I did not want to spend a whole lot in either moving my bed or buying a new one. I decided to buy this Coleman 4-in-1 air bed for two reasons: that it was cheap and it had fairly decent reviews on Amazon. I can say that I am not disappointed by what I got for the price. I had to buy a mattress pad to cover the top with, but primarily because I did not like the uneven top surface. It is nonetheless no problem at all to sleep on. I have had to refill it once about every 40-50 days. It smelled of rubber for the first few days, but with regular use it is odorless now. The only downside is that the rubber material it is made of can be a little noisy, with tiny squeaks resulting when I move from one direction to the other.

This is a very comfortable bed. I use it every night as a "raised twin" (one placed on top of the other). I still like the twin bed/box spring idea, but this is very affordable.

I love picking a comfort level and this double creates a good height for a twin. Good enough for a regular bed.
Working well so far - 4 out of 5
I have five Coleman inflatable mattresses, four beds. They all are still working perfectly except one which worked for a year and then deflated (didn't bother finding the leak). So four out of five is pretty good value considering another air bed product we bought, rated a best buy, constantly needed air and finally became worthless as well within a year. So all in all we're pretty happy with Coleman air beds.

Better then a real queen bed.
All I can say is this air mattress is the best. It's incredible comfortable and the perfect height. My partner and I slept on it together and I'm 230 lb and he is 160 lbs. If you need a good air mattress look no further. Just make sure it the size you want.

My husband and I bought this air bed for company and also for our use while we moved to our new apartment and until we can go out and find a proper bed. I've been very impressed whith the fact that it stays ferm and goes a few days before even needing slight adjustments. I'm impressed with the ease of use and the fact that all the components are in one place. For the price I would say this air bed is unbeatable, and I have to share an oppinion with an earlier reviewer, as an over weight woman I'm greatful that it stays so ferm and nice.

intex does not stand by there product
I bought this queen airbed less then six month ago and has developed a leak in the motor assembly. Contacted intex said they have no warranties on product and when talking I asked why they do not stand by there product with a no answer response. Never again would I buy from them

This product has been great for my guests - they said they have slept comfortably on it considering its an air mattress. I would definitely recommend this product and shipping was really quick!

Mattress majors react to Consumer Reports' brand ratings

HIGH POINT — Leading bedding producers had a variety of reactions to the mattress brand ratings just released by Consumer Reports.

Memory foam leader Tempur-Pedic, which topped the ratings, called the results "a huge win" for Tempur-Pedic, and said they validate the company's belief that it truly does "change the way the world sleeps."

Said Rick Anderson, president of Tempur-Pedic North America: "We believe in our products and it's reassuring to see that consumers from around the country do as well. We will continue to create mattresses and sleep accessories that exceed customer expectations and look for ways to help people achieve the best night's sleep possible."

Companies who scored in the lower half of the ratings put a positive face on their own quality records.

The brand that ranked tenth - and dead last - on the mattress brand ratings list, Spring Air, noted that the mattresses referred to in the Consumer Reports survey were made by the former Spring Air Co., not by Spring Air International, the new Spring Air entity formed in June.

What is the best brand in camping air mattresses there are?

Paul E answers: Try Big Agnes, you can not go wrong. It is a very small package and gives you a very comfortable bed. I was using Theme based, and only inflating the Big Agnes sleeping on the bed as compared to the other.

Can bed frames hold air mattresses?

CMDS asks: If I buy a queen sized bed, will a queen sized air mattress fit on it?

MILF answers: Generally they are the same size, but I would advise against it. Anything poking out of the bed frame can puncture the air mattress very easily.
