Henredon to sponsor home for MDA benefit
SUMMERFIELD, N.C. — Henredon will be a sponsor of the 2009 Concept Home here, an event that raises money the Muscular Dystrophy Assn. through tours offered to the public.
The 6,600-square-foot Concept Home is in The Farm at Summerfield, a community just northwest of High Point.
On the market for $1.75 million, it features residential innovations such as lighting controls, security systems and elevators as well as the latest in finishing, building materials and decorating trends.
Starting Sept. 17, the four-bedroom home will be open for tours on three consecutive weekends from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and from noon to 6 p.m. on Sundays. Admission is $10 at the door, or tickets can be purchased in advance for $8 at Harris-Teeter stores in the Greensboro, N.C., area.
Henredon will place products from three of its collections - Acquisitions, Castellina and Spring Lake - in the home. These and other decorative pieces in the home will be auctioned off at the end of the event and a portion of proceeds will go to the MDA, a voluntary health agency that works to defeat neuromuscular diseases through services and research.
