Nothing says "spring" better than changing the heavy winter comforter for Grandma's thin spring quilt.
I actually went into my other room, brought up YouTube on my computer and found a little trumpet music and accompanying timpani to announce the big event.
I yanked off the heavy comforter under which I had cozied all winter. I then brought out the soft-blue cotton quilt from its plastic bag where it burrowed during all those dark and cold months of winter.
The sun was streaming in the bedroom window. I put the window screen in, and the soft breeze was making the sheer curtains applaud the unfolding scene.
I had washed the sheets and pillow cases earlier. In the dryer I tossed a "spring bouquet" scented sheet. The perfume of the dryer sheet weaved through the fabric of the sheets.
