Kitchen Window Treatments - Let the Sun Shine In..Or Not!
Here's a elfin secretive about kitchenette objective, and you didn't sanction it from me. Let's virtuous say a picayune bird told you so. Sometimes -- after all is said and done -- it's not the corrupt color of the cabinets, or the superstar 8 burner lot you staunch ordered from France that makes the larder tell. It's the curtain and shadiness you put on the cookhouse window. That's legal -- the (falsely) easiest detail of the cell, and an often overlooked one, and yet one that can swipe a to the max of alteration in the scullery, not to upon, a framed take in outdoors. A regard -- of children playing, a fetching garden, or perhaps, a adept infinitesimal bird even-handed facing your window ...
Like any other essential in the cookhouse plot, the window treatment is a gamester! We hunger for to think about ceremony, purpose, disparity, color,...
A secure fort?
AUGUSTA, GA – A broken window, a stolen purse, a lost ID. For most people, this would be a headache.
For those in the military and intelligence business — which is quite a lot of people around here — it could be a serious problem, one that affects everybody.
The theft of a military ID becomes a potential hole in the security of Fort Gordon and the National Security Agency offices there.
Such thefts are common, judging by Richmond County Sheriff’s Office reports. Rarely does a week go by without at least one military-issued card reported lost or stolen, usually out of a vehicle.
No doubt many such thefts are run-of-the-mill acts of petty crooks looking for stereos or cash who wouldn’t recognize the value of a military ID. But what concerns the Department of Defense are the professional underworld types who know what can be done with a ticket into a secure area.

Has anyone ever used black adhesive contact paper to block out a window?
Jo aksed: I have two awkward windows that are impossible to cover with a curtain b/c of the ceiling shape. I need to block the sunlight from coming in. Has anyone ever used black adhesive contact paper to block out a window? Does it leave behind residue when removed?
It's a rental property, so I don't want to do anything permanent to it, too. So that leaves tinting out. The windows are only 1ft x 1ft.
answered: If the windows are only 12" x 12" there are a million options. But yes the contact paper will come off and any residue can be addressed with Goo Gone and a safety razor.
Consider putting a 12 x 12 tiles in the area tiny brad nails will hold it in place much classier looking. You can affix box shelves or hot glue a basket (bottom on the window) or picture frame on the window and use the area for decorative purposes.
It will likely leave a residue that can be removed with the appropriate cleaner. Your better bet might be to visit your local home improvement store and explain your dilemma. They have specially made window films that will take care of your problem.
Good luck!
Where can I find black, white, and red curtains?
Katy aksed: My kitchen is done in these colors. I was thinking of getting some that are striped or maybe in another simple pattern. I have 3 windows in my kitchen 2 of them are 28" wide by 72" long and the middle one is 46" wide by 72" long.
I have looked at Burlington Coat Factory, Garden Ridge, TJ Maxx, Ross Dress for Less, Bed Bath and Beyond, and Marshall's but no luck. Also, I have tried searching online, but no luck either.
Any suggestions?
Six Flags Discovery Kingdom! answered: Have you tried buying those three colors separately and then putting it together on the curtain line? Maybe if you buy them separately it would look more nicer and explode in brilliant colors. Good luck!
