The lightweight Travel Crib Light is a breeze to take down and carry around when traveling.

(Shown here in Blue.)
Sturdy, Lightweight Crib is Perfect for Travel
The lightweight construction of the Travel Crib Light makes traveling hassle-free for parents. Weighing less than 11 pounds (including the case), the crib is easy for any adult to carry around the house, pack into a car, or carry through an airport.

Measuring 45 x 31.5 x 23.5 inches (L x W x H), the crib has a uniquely compact design that features a base with slanting edges. This means the crib stands firmly and doesn't wobble, even if little ones are standing up or if older siblings are leaning against it. The see-through mesh panels on the sides allow parents and caregivers to keep an eye on their sleeping tot.

Provides Cozy, Waterproof Sleeping Quarters
Made of soft, thick cotton, the Travel Crib Light's insulated mattress is both cozy and roomy, creating a restful environment for your child wherever they happen to be. It also comes with a removable, waterproof cover, which helps protect against leaky diapers.

Sets Up, Takes Down and Transports Easily
Assembly of the Travel Crib Light is an easy task. Especially convenient after a long day of travel, the crib takes seconds to set up or take down. Just remove the Travel Crib Light from its travel case and unfold the frame -- no pushing, pulling, or locking of rails is necessary -- the legs will automatically set and lock in place. Once the frame is set-up, simply place the mattress in the bottom and you are set for sleep.

When traveling by car, the crib folds up small enough to take along in the trunk. For airport travel, you can easily pack it into a larger suitcase or carry it like a bag using its handy carrying case with a sturdy canvas handle.

Features Safe, Easy-to-Clean Materials
All of the fabric and materials used in the Travel Crib Light are Öeko-Tex Standard 100 Class 1 certified, which means they are guaranteed to be safe and free of any harmful substances. The cotton mattress cover and fabric on the exterior of the crib are removable, machine washable, and smooth on your child's skin.

The BABYBJÖRN Fitted Sheet (sold separately) is a perfect fit for the Travel Crib Light.

OH MY GOSH--WOW!!!!
This is amazing! We watched the preview videos on the Bjorn website, where parents took about 30 seconds to set up the crib, and it is all true! Amazing! I, a mother of a 3-month-old, love setting it up. Usually Daddy handles the "hard labor" for the baby, but with this lovely 11-pound apparatus, even I can set it up. And it really does only take about 30 seconds. A normal crib sheet fits the mattress, although just slightly loose. So, don't bother buying the high-priced Bjorn sheet. Head to Goodwill and buy a used crib sheet for under $1. This will help defray the initial high price of the crib--although it's worth every cent! We travel a lot, and every stop we make, we show off our new piece of furniture. It's stable, compact, light, and PERFECT for what we want it to do! We'll also be using it daily at home once our little one grows out of her Moses basket. I think the stable, good-sized crib will wear well and outlast our daughter's use of it! Definitely recommend!
BEST travel crib
Fits in suitcase, VERY easy to set up and breakdown. Amazing travel crib, wouldn't buy anything else.
I really wanted this to work...
I really liked it, but unfortunately, my 8.5 month old son did not. He cried every time.

I think it may have been too much of a shock to go from a firm mattress in a regular crib to a soft thinner mattress on the ground.

I think the product is really well made, but I guess we're back to the PNP for travel!
Sturdy, Easy to set up
Very sturdy crib, light, easy to set up. It takes some practice to fold it up in a manner that allows you to effectively shove it back into the case though. And, it's quite a bit larger than I'd expected, definitely NOT brief-case size. I am fairly certain it would not fit current airline regulations for a carry-on. I do like that there is no bar in the middle like the pack-n-play, and the mattress is very soft. Also, a standard crib sheet fits great on the mattress, so we didn't have to purchase any extra sheets either.

My daughter does not mind sleeping in it, but she's always been more sensitive to noise and light than where she sleeps physically. I'm debating whether or not to bring it wtih me when I travel across the country, because it will count as a piece of luggage. Overall though, it's a good crib, just expensive. I think the pack-n-play is better for if you have a very young child (under 4 months) because of the bassinet feature, but for an older child, this is better.
Easy to use
This is a great travel crib. My 6 month old has already been on 14 flights, so you can see we travel a lot and we need an easy to assemble crib. It's light, but durable, although low to the ground so you still break your back picking up your child, but I guess all travel cots are like this. The only real negative is that the carry case is still large, although light, so it still takes up a lot of space in your luggage. Overall I think it's a great investment for people that travel a lot.

Not what I expected
I read a lot of good reviews on this so I finally bought it for my eight month old. I couldn't tell much of a difference between the two sides and my baby doesn't sleep any better. It feels almost the same as the mattress I paid [...] dollars for. It is much fatter and harder to put the crib sheets on. It is okay, but not what I thought.

An Adulterated Affogato Cribbed from Caffe Reggio

Posted by admin Sep 04, 2009COMMENTS

Walk up from the Blue Note , turn the corner at MacDougal, and there under bright green awnings Caffe Reggio beckons: my refuge in this ever-changing twitter-totter world. The haunt hasn’t evolved much since my fresh-faced college days, with its ornate antique clocks, chipped busts (“Horatio,” I call the winsome boy-man perched above the coveted corner window seat), and moody 16th-century canvases “from the school of Caravaggio,” as the back of the menu boasts. I know the history by heart. Louisa May Alcott once lived across the street. More importantly, Reggio claims to be the first place to bring cappuccino to America.

The café was established in 1927 by one Dominic Parisi, an Italian barber with failing eyesight. He spent his life savings—$1,000—on the enormous chrome and bronze, multi-spigoted espresso machine that’s now in grand repose on a pedestal, topped by its valiant angel and surrounding demons. The sight of this relic, along with the pregnant tin ceiling (I always imagine there’s an overflowing bathtub on the floor above, ready to crash through any second), and the rococo velvet and carved wood chairs, fills me with a comfort I can’t explain. This is just about my favorite place on earth—it feels like home.

Do I really need to have a basinet/crib/baby bed right away?

MonaBear asks: I already have a small co-sleeper that sits on the bed between me and my music, but we really need a bed now?

I have a baby papysan and swing, people tell me that babies love to sleep in the new, right?

Can I get by without a real baby bed right off the bat, or is it a bad idea?

Luv2Answer answers: You do not have a manger. Our baby did not use it to 4 month. You should get a bassinet, or if you are using a built-in game pack 'n'. Swing is something that can fall asleep and sleep a few minutes, but they do not remain there long. Not all babies as well as changes in mood. Mina is not always got sick on them and wanted out.

where can i find a cute but cheat pink and brown baby bed crib set or purple or anything that is cute for girl

kelly asks: remember not too expensive. send a link if you can
that is cheap not cheat,sorry.

sheesh answers: Well it depends on if you want it to be brand-new or gently used...I was a first-time mom and thought it should be new so I bought my daughter's crib-bedding at Target...It was cute, but pretty simple because the really, really nice stuff was super-expensive for my budget.

Then she started needing more and more stuff...a bassinet, baby monitor, mobile, swing, johnny jump-up, baby gates, shoes and on and on...I wised up and decided that it really didn't matter if someone else had used it first if it was still in almost new condition. I searched on google for my town and and "baby items" and consignment stores. I live in a pretty small town in Montana and found three stores that sell almost-new baby and kid items for much less than department stores. I saw tons of really cute crib-bedding for less than I payed...Disney and even the John Lennon baby collection I'd wanted so badly! Name-brand stuff for a lot less than I paid that looked brand-new. So if you're ok with gently-used things, I would suggest checking for consignment shops in your town or on craigslist for your area under the "baby and kids" section...because you can find things locally so you won't have to have it shipped...plus a lot pf people who do ads on craigslist for their kids' things are often trying to clear out some space in their house and aren't looking to make a lot of money...good luck, I hope you find something really nice.
