Great
The crib looks great. The directions that came with it were not the right ones, however we figured out how to put it together pretty easy. Also it says it is a cherry crib and we have tried finding matching furniture in cherry, but they are different color cherry's so I am not really sure if the crib is "regular" cherry or dark or any other type. Other then that the crib is fantastic!
paint chipped off 2nd month...
Bought this for my 1 year old daughter, she bit the crib side(she has 4 teeth) and the paint chipped right off. We had purchased the white crib, its beautiful and well made, fairly easy for two people to put together, overall I was very pleased until this happened. I have contacted the manufacter and am awaiting a response. Teething guards could have prevented this from happening, if I get a replacement rail that is what I intend to do, overall I am happy with the crib aside from the chipped paint.
great crib
Great quality crib, easy to assemble and safe. wish the mattress could be lifted up a little more, but after much shopping generally very happy with the purchase!
For the price, this is excellent!
Very nervous about ordering my daughters crib on-line, very very nervous. But after checking out the local shops and looking at almost every crib here on Amazon I felt a bit more confident and ordered this one.
Wow.
So far both the grandparents have commented on how pretty it is. It's solid once assembled. It's nice looking, meets all the new safety standards, no drop side so no worries and it has an adjustable height on the mattress to make up for the change in safety standards regarding drop sides.
We got the cherry finish and my wife was worried, but it's a classic victorian cherry so you're getting a dark red stain, very nice.
Standard mattress fits nicely inside, no gaps, and the mattress support is a steel frame with steel mesh and springs.
So why the 5 stars?
Well, because it's a typical self assembly, allen wrench, thumb blister kit. I swear it's been a week and the side of my thumb still hurts from tightening all of the screws.
I still don't understand to this day why they stopped using Phillips screws for these kits and it really wouldn't be so bad accept for the fact that my daughter learned how to pull herself up about 5 minutes after we finished the crib and put her in it. We had built it at the top height so we could get her out easier. We thought it'd save us some back pain and it would be fine since she couldn't stand up without help. Well OF COURSE she stood up right after that, that's what kids do.... sigh. So I had to unscrew the most difficult screws in the bed and re-screw them in new slots using that annoyingly thin little allen wrench.
But that's really my only gripe. The packaging was fine, no damage to the crib, lots of Styrofoam, cardboard supports and separators. I'm a big guy so I could actually lift the package myself, though it does say "Team Lift" on the side and if I wasn't 6'5" I couldn't have carried it alone, to long and awkward. But the weight was very manageable, not like most solid hardwood cribs that weigh a ton.
For the price I really couldn't be happier with this purchase. And knowing that it converts into a day bed and then a head and foot board when she's ready just makes it feel like that much more of a bargain. If you're worried about the side coming off prematurely, don't, it's bolted on just like the other sides. To convert it to a day bed you have to remove the bolts.
We'll see how well it withstands the test of time. I'll write an update if anything happens.

So here's a tip for anyone who hasn't done many of these "DIY furniture" kits. Once you've got it put together, go back through every screw from the beginning and try tightening them again. Lots of screws will loosen as you tighten others. Read the warning for the mattress height, If your child can pull themselves up on their own, the mattress goes at the lowest setting, trust me, you don't want to have to re-set this thing anytime soon, the mattress screws are painted ends so they kind of glue in, very difficult to get them back out.
Been using it for 21 months and love it.
I got this crib in 2008 when they had a drop side. My daughter is 21 months and has been using it since birth, she jumps on it, shake it and has never been able to crawl out of it. The crib is sturdy as it was the first day we put it together, nothing has come loose. I'm getting another one for my son because it's safe and I want them to match.

great for short mommies!
I love this crib! spent a long time debating over which cribs would be short enough(i'm 5'1"), sturdy, yet also affordable. when i saw this one, i knew it was the one. arrived within about 4 days, and i assembled it in under an hour. the wood is beautiful (got the cappuccino color) and sturdy, but not heavy. love the smooth lines. 3 positions and comes with everything you need to convert it to toddler bed.
beautiful crib!
I purchased this crib for my daughter as a gift for my first grandchild. It arrived quickly and safely and they put it together with no problems. This is a sturdy, beautiful crib that will last my grandson for years to come. We are all happy with the crib and I am thrilled to have given him his first bed!
Very Good Crib
Easy to put together and very big crib for the price; the color and style are beautiful and it seems very sturdy and well made. My only complaint: flaws and scrapes in the wood, but minor and not too noticeable. Please with purchase.
Great crib!
We couldnt be happier with this crib. It was easy to put together and its beautiful and well made.
It IS a shorter crib but my husband and I are both 6' and have no problems.
The only issue we had is one page of the instructions was missing... not the cribs fault. It was simple enough to put together without and recheck once we got the missing page.
Love this Cirib! Excellent Value!
After reading all of the reviews of this crib,(which were mostly great) the only fear I had was that it would too short as some of the negative reviews had said. I bought it anyways and am very glad I did! I stand 6' and my wife is 5'8 and we both have no problem with the height of the crib. Although it is a little shorter than most standard cribs, it's not really that noticable, and it's so nice and sturdy looking it in no way looks like 'less' of a crib.
The color is a little warmer than what is pictured here, it's kind of a rustic honey-which was a pleasant surprise, we like it even more than the picture. I love that it doesn't have drop-sides, there's less chance of a recall. I love that there are 3 height adjustment levels for the mattress, and think the lowest one will be perfect for our little man when he's ready for us to convert it to a toddler day bed.

It was shipped quickly and arrived well packed and in perfect condition. It was pretty easy to put together, my brother did it in about 30-40 minutes.

The only negative I can think of is that the bolts do show on the outside, but it's really not that noticable and doesn't take away from the charm of the crib.

This crib is comparable in style and quality to higher end cribs. Overall it's a beautiful, very sturdy, well made piece of furniture and I would recommend it to anyone! A great value!!!

Beautiful and inexpensive
My husband and I got this crib for our first and we LOVE it so far. Of course the baby hasn't arrived yet. Nonetheless, I would purchase it again. A couple of things to keep in mind:
-Not really a crib you can adjust the height on by yourself. At least I couldn't. I tried to adjust it myself for a friends baby I was watching, and all I got for my effort was a big scratch in the side. Oops! But maybe you can if you're more handy than me and not extremely pregnant!
-It fits a standard sized crib mattress, but it runs a tiny bit larger. We bought a standard sized Kolcraft Pediatric 1000 mattress at first and it was too small, I could fit 3 fingers between the edge and the side. The Serta one we got to replace it fits much better though. (but not tight, like some of the Serta mattress reviews said it might)
-This is purely superficial: My cute jungle baby crib skirt is blocked by the two thicker bars in the front. How sad, there's a big stripe right in front of the Lion and the Elephant's face so you can't see them. :)

Otherwise, gorgeous, sturdy, and not cheapy. I guess what else can you ask for from a stationary side crib?
Great Crib!
We love it!
It took us less than 2 hours to assemble it because the instructions were so clear. We love the colour! And love the way it turned out to be. We bought the "Sealy Baby Ultra Rest Mattress" and it fit perfectly in the crib. Overall, we are happy to have bought this crib online with a great prize also! :)
Very Good Value
The crib has a beautiful finish, with nice thick pieces of wood, and was easy to assemble. All the bolts go into nuts inside the wood so there are no screws going into bare wood. My only suggestion is that the manufacturer should include a couple of extra pieces of each size of nuts and bolts in case something happens to the supplied pieces. This crib is a very good value for the money and I would recommend it to anyone.
Awesome crib!!!
Awesome crib, and the previous post is on point. The website does not do it justice, it looks very beautiful once built. Although one of the pieces came a little chipped, customer service was great and they are shipping me a new piece free of charge as we speak. If my daughter wasn't so spoiled she would love it! :)
Espresso Tuscany 4-in-1 great for me!
I am very pleased with this crib! I am one who does a LOT of research before purchasing any item. I was a little nervous about this one, first because of how inexpensive it was, and also some of the reviews were not stellar. I think it is an amazing crib for the price. It is very sturdy, and it just looks beautiful (two of my major criteria)! I have gotten many compliments on it so far. The only thing I would say is that some pieces were a little scuffed (not scratched or dented or anything, just scuffed) but not enough that you can even tell when it's put together. Some of the pieces are interchangeable or can be flipped either way, so if you just pay attention while putting it together, you can hide any scuffs pretty well. But, like I said, you can't even notice them when it's put together. I was very careful while taking out each piece to examine them, and I planned on sending the whole thing back if anything was scratched or dented too bad. But, I kept it, so that is a good sign! Again, it looks beautiful in my nursery, I am so happy with it!

crib is good, amazon distribution center not so good.
The crib came and moderately easy to install. The most inconvenient part of the installation was that this crib must have been returned by another customer who didn't know what he/she was doing because one of the screws was stripped. I couldn't easily return the product since it was 90% finished by the time we found the stripped screw. Amazon needs to do a better job with checking its inventory and not sending used crap to ppl.
So far OK, but not perfect, high safety rating
We selected this crib due to its high safety rating with Consumer Reports, a middle of the road price, and a look we liked. We got the cherry finish. It was on sale here, and we got free shipping. The next level of crib with excellent safety ratings was more like $400, and this is not an item we would get used, although I think recycled and used baby-gear is great when that's not a safety issue.

It was not the easiest to assemble, and once assembled I noticed a large dent, a good 3"x2" in the wood on the main part of the crib, that is fully visible. I had no idea whether that dent was actually there from the shipping or if it got dented during assembly. Either way, much as earlier reviewers wrote, dents much too easily. I did see that one reviewer suggested adding your own additional coats of clear varnish to harden it, but given I was very pregnant and we were very busy, this did not strike me as very practical, but it may work great. I would be willing to pay an extra $20 to have them apply enough varnish to help prevent dents. I knew this was an issue and felt affordable safety outweighed aesthetic concerns, so I'm not really angry about it.

So far our baby is only 7 weeks and still sleeps in a portable travel crib in our bedroom. He lies in the crib if we're in the nursery and have to put him down to get something. Our standard Colgate mattress fits great and, other than the dent, it looks great. He'll be moved into crib at 3 months or so. Once baby is able to bang his toys or fists against it, I'm sure it will have more dents and nicks. And I'm sure he won't care a bit, so I won't lose sleep over it.

My other complaint is the toddler bed converter set is ridiculously overpriced, because they know they've got you. We got that as well, and obviously have no idea how that will work out yet.
Great crib
I purchased this crib after a lot of research. I found that it was on the top 10 cribs to buy and it has been great. My husband and brother in law put it together in about 25 minutes (they barely looked at the instructions)and the bedding that I had purchased looked great with the honey oak color. It came with the daybed conversion kit. No complaints here!
Beautiful Crib
Though our baby hasn't arrived yet, we set up our crib as soon as it arrived and it is beautiful! It is also very sturdy. My husband assembled it in less than an hour and hardly needed my help. All of the pieces were in good condition--no scratches. We are excited to put it to use in just 2 months!
great crib
I bought this crib in cherry for 245$, after reading every review about this and many other cribs and safety reports.
My babygril is now 4 months old. she sleeps well in it. She slept in it sinds day one.
It's beautiful, very sturdy, came in perfect state..but now it has a few scrates(mostely form a belt).
It's easy to setup if you just follow the instructions, my boyfriend did it on his own in about 1 hour, I sat and watched...was 37 weeks pregnant. the cherry collor is just as you see it in the picture.
I still have it on the highest mattress level, because my girl cannot situp on her own yet... but sometimes I wished it had a dropside because it gets harder lifting her out of her crib all the time, she's 7 kg now.. but then a dropside is dangerous. it weigh alot, but still is very easy to move arround when you need to clean.
so if you like the looks... buy it..it's worth it. good furniture.

Davinci Crib
I had a crummy experience with this order. I received the wrong brand when the order came and I had to return the item. This was no small thing since I had given it to my son for his new baby, he lives 15miles away. To return the item, I had to bring it back to my house or they wouldnt pick it up for me. I reordered the item and once again I got the wrong crib. I had the second one delivered to my sons house and it was picked up there for return. We ended up getting it from another vendor, amazon couldnt get this purchase correct. To add insult to injury, they gave me a credit of $80 when I got the first item, and when they credited me for the purchase they subtracted the $80 from the credit; so I got nothing for the inconvenience.
I paid a friend with a van $25 to deliver the crib to my son for me, and then I had to pay again to get it back to my house. Amazon has ignored my complaint and I feel ripped off. They should have left me with the credit at least.
Beautiful crib, but fragile
We first received this crib that was cracked in 2 places along the back panel (this was not damage caused by shipping as the box was not damaged in any way), and the pre-drilled holes for the mattress platform were incorrectly measured on the front legs. But the replacement crib we ordered after returning the first one came in perfect condition. The wood is soft and can easily be dinged during assembly, but more-so, my son began chewing on the tops of the rails from the first minute we put him in the crib (something he never did in his previous crib). The finish (thankfully, non-toxic) was marred by all his teeth marks. Fortunately we had a color-match furniture pen corrector, and I ordered CribWrap rail covers by TrendLab, which fit, look, and work beautifully to protect the crib.

The drawer works wonderfully to store his extra sheets, blankets, and mattress protectors.

I would recommend this crib, but carefully inspect it when you receive it to make sure holes line up and there is no damage to any piece of the crib. Once everything is okay, put it together (which is fairly easy) and enjoy this sturdy, beautiful crib!
Beautiful crib
We love our crib. It was fairly easy to put together, and arrived in excellent condition, save a small ding or two that you can hardly see. The drawer isn't the greatest...it's VERY hard to pull out, and we won't be able to store much in it as it obviously won't be able to hold much weight. I actually can see us getting rid of it in the future, as it serves more as a toe-stubber than a storage area. But the crib itself we love. It's very sturdy, and the color is beautiful. I anticipate it holding up well with our baby. (Would've given it 5 stars if the drawer was more functional).
Skip it
We ordered this crib because the price, style and color were right. However, the wood is very poor quality as is the drawer bottom. There are pre-drilled holes in the crib, some holes were in the incorrect place while other holes were drilled right over other holes making the hole way too big for the screw. Once piece of wood came with a huge crack down the middle of it. Don't waste your money on this.
good crib
The crib is good so far (lol still no baby to put in it though) it was easy to assemble. The only thing I dont like about it is that the screws are exposed on the front and sides. I would have likes some covers to put over them, it isnt a safety thing it is just a cosmetic thing. Oh and it does scratch and dent really easly, but I think that is the case with most cribs.

Whats The Big Deal About Convertible Baby Cribs? - masai barefoot ...

Before we twitch into the features that the tucker convertible cribs pay out lets have a look at what convertible cribs are and how they be contradictory. There are a yoke of abundant types of convertible cribs to note:

B) 4-in-1 Crib: The 4-in-1 crib can be converted from a crib into a toddler bed, a daybed and a full-sized bed.

need advice on a 4 in 1 crib?

little monkey in the oven aksed: Me and my Husband where thinking of getting a 4 in 1 crib for are new arrival. This way we would have a toddlers bed all set up and would not have to worry about buying another to fast. But I was curious to know if any of you have them and what you think about them.

answered: that looks exatly like the one I got for my son. l like it, once tho when he was younger his leg got stuck between the railings, and I had a hard time getting it out. I also dont like the way ther corners are, I worry alot, and think that if he falls he could hit the corner just right and get hurt. If u can, check it out in the store. I looked at it for months, and fell in love with it, and the idea of it. It grows with the baby, looks nice, is sturdy. I bought mine at walmart tho for like 200$

Is it okay to order baby gear such as crib set from Amazon.com?

11456!! aksed: My husband and I are currently shopping for baby gear. I am due end of this summer. We wanted to buy a crib and have decided on Graco sarah 4-in-1 convertible crib. Some of my friends took the same model from Walmart but currently the lowest price seems to be available at amazon.

My question is - If it is okay to order baby gear online? If its a branded item, will it arrive in good shape and safe? or do u recommend I pay more and take it from a store?

Thanks!

Angela answered: It's a great way to order anything! I started out ordering books, then kitchen gadgets and all kinds of stuff. I was so happy with Amazon, that I included it on my baby shower website ... I even have a cribs section if you want to check it out :) ... http://astore.amazon.com/uniqbabygiftc-2 0?_encoding=UTF8&node=66 ... (use the search box to find the style you're looking for)

I have bought 'used' items before (usually books), but even the new items are generally less expensive than anywhere else!
