Highly Recommend
I don't know what the other reviewer is talking about because my husband and I put this together rather quickly, we followed directions and everything was great. It's safe, fit, and sturdy. I can't wait for my baby girl to get here so she can sleep comfy in this beautiful crib! I love the cherry finish and even though I dropped the parts a few times, nothing chipped off or broke off! I highly recommend this crib if you're looking for a beautiful and safe crib for your newborn! Again, please follow the instructions to the tee and you will be good to go!!!
Great crib
Love this crib

Awsome price for a great product. The color is beautiful and it's super sturdy.

Very easy to assemble.
Cheap Crap
I can't believe it, but this is another product I would give zero stars or negative stars if possible. My wife normally researches these things before purchase, but can't explain why she bought this. I've assembled my share of shoddy furniture from components, but putting the Graco Sarah Classic Crib together was a particularly bad experience. Anyone rating this assembly experience as easy must work for Graco or its apparent subcontractor, LaJobi.

My first clue to the challenges I would face was an entire page in the instruction manual in large uppercase letters. "STOP (underlined) IF YOU EXPERIENCE ANY ISSUES WITH THIS PRODUCT BEFORE YOU RETURN THIS TO THE RETAILER PLEASE FOLLOW PROCEDURES ON THE REVERSE SIDE OF THIS FORM". Those instructions told me to call during business hours, or to send an email or fax, which I assumed would be a waste of time until I actually began assembly. At one point I really did want to return the product, but had already discarded the box, and wasn't even sure if a return would be possible. I stumbled through the process without writing or calling.

I felt like the instructions and warning labels had been translated from a foreign language by someone who didn't have English as a first language (Graco's "international team"). For example, I still don't know the meaning of the following "IMPORTANT" message affixed to the bottom stretcher bar: "Remove the fixed side closest to the bottom stretcher bar." Is that important to assembly, or to disassembly? If it's important to assembly, why isn't it in the instruction manual? Some instructions were specific to drop-side cribs, so maybe that part is used in other models and the warning applies to those. The bolt lengths did not exactly match the diagrams provided, maybe due to the fact that "Model shown is example only. Styles may vary". I was never able to identify the "metal spring (F) with tabs", but from the diagram I think they must have actually meant one of the connectors attached to the metal spring support platform (based on the singular terminology, I was looking for one different from the others).

While caring for an infant, it's not easy to find enough time to assemble such a contraption, so the fact that I took the time to write this review should provide an indication of my level of dissatisfaction. I couldn't imagine approaching 28 bolts (eight of three inches in length) with the hex wrench provided, so I went with a power drill. My ongoing lack of sleep, caring for an infant concurrently with constructing the crib, and the mismatch between the diagrams and the actual parts led me to discover only after partial assembly that the manufacturer had drilled some holes deep enough to affix the wrong bolts. Even pieces that I'm sure I put together correctly did not seem to fit perfectly - some of the barrel nuts were flush with the wood, some were recessed, and some protruded from the holes. My next discovery was that the cheap bolts easily strip, leaving shards of metal around the crib in the child's room, and likely making proper future disassembly impossible. I estimate that assembly, partial disassembly, and reassembly took four hours with a power drill - I can't imagine how long it would have taken with the manual hex wrench.

I would not recommend purchasing this (or any self-assembly crib from Graco, for that matter) to anyone not willing to return it after some frustration. If you do buy one, I suggest first checking the return policy, keeping the box, allocating sufficient time, and assembling it before your child arrives. It is a rather large piece of furniture (I think we might be able to get it out of the child's room without a sledgehammer if we first take the door off the doorframe), so you probably want to start with this device instead of a cradle, and assemble it in the room where you intend for it to remain for the duration of its use.

The instructions indicate that one might need a "flat head" screwdriver (probably to manipulate the barrel nuts, which due to the various angles of approach, is probably best achieved with two people), but I'm not sure why they also list a Philips screwdriver. I do have two guess uses for the recommended hammer, one of which would require something more like a rubber mallet, and the other of which would be more like a sledge.

I am still not entirely sure that I assembled this correctly, which doesn't give me a great sense of confidence in the bed in which my child will sleep for more than a year. I feel like the manufacturer spent more resources on product appearance and marketing than on overall quality. Anyone reviewing the assembly process highly likely works for the vendor or has assembled other cribs of even less quality. After doing a little research, it appears that Graco just slapped their branding over a LaJobi product, which doesn't exactly inspire confidence in Graco (see [...]). I did appreciate the repeated message, "Adult assembly required" (I was age thirty-seven during the assembly).

In summary, this product typifies how the rush to market and relentless drive to cut manufacturing and documentation costs has eliminated much of the quality from today's consumer products. Much of my frustration could have been avoided if anyone within the company had actually read and tried to apply and consequently updated the assembly instructions. Even before reading the 1-star review, I was considering disposing of this thing, but now I have to give it serious thought (even though I don't remember any plastic pieces). For now my child sleeps in a portable crib.
Nice Crib
The crib arrived before the estimated delivery date. It was in perfect condition, packaged very well, and assembled together without any problems. It looks great, works great and my new granddaughter doesn't know it yet, but she loves it!!!
So Far So Good!
My husband and I put this together in less then 20 mins! Arrived as expected, beautiful color (doesn't look cheap,) structurely sound, and JPMA certified. My main concern was it not having a drop-side, however, the height is PERFECT. With the ADJUSTABLE mattress spring board (metal) at it's highest level and a 5-6 inch thick mattress, the baby is within a safe and not to deep reach (about 2 feet.)

GREAT deal! Crib @ $127.00 and mattress @ $45.00 = New crib set for under $200.00. This is if you can find the items with free shipping.

Currently, I cannot find any problems and am VERY satisfied with this product. I will come back and comment when the crib has had more use.

I love this product!
I purchased this crib for my neice who was due 1 month after the crib arrived. her husband assembled the crib and all the parts were in the box and it was fairly easy to put together. The crib is beautiful and a standard mattress fits beautifully.
Great Crib
We love this crib. We had to purchase a new one due to the original one being recalled.
The shipping was quick, and the crib itself is really nice. I do need to stress that this is
"distressed", not solid black. We were able to fix the "distressing" on the edge of the bars by simply
using a black marker.

It was fairly easy to put together, and it's a nice, solid crib. Our son was comfortable in it from the get go.
It's not difficult to get him in and out of the crib with the new style front.

All in all, great crib for the price. Highly recommend.
Bad experience
This crib was delivered to me 3 times defected. It's very bad for business, I just had a newborn and I needed a crib. Imagine trying to get this 70 lbs package open and re-package and carry out outside 3 times. You guys should stop doing business with this company because it's costing you customers.
So Far, So Good (Baby hasn't arrived yet)
We have a few more months before baby arrives, but in regards to the crib, all parts arrived in the box and my husband had no trouble at all putting it together. It appears to be rather sturdy. It's a little larger than I would like for our small nursery, but the size is comparable to other 4-in-1/sleigh style cribs you'll see in baby stores. So far, so good. I was able to see the Da Vinci crib in person at Target and think that the wood on this Delta one is a little harder and much less likely to get scratched up.

I'll update this review if anything changes once we get the mattress set up.
Great Crib!
This crib is very easy to put together. We loved this crib so much with our first child, we bought it again when we had our second baby! It converts from crib to toddler bed without any difficulties. Looks great, I love that it will grow with my kids and eventually turn into a headboard and footboard. I just wish the wooden rails were included.

***Very happy with our purchase***

Beautiful
After it arrived, I opened the box to take a look. The pictures online do not give it justice. We chose Espresso for the color and it looks so much like aged oak. I can see why people rated it lower because of dents, but I understood that it's made of a pine and I know from experience while working with pine it can do this. No big deal to me honestly. I care more about function than look majority of the time. I think it had one dent and that part will never be seen unless someone is looking for it. It does take two people to put it together and the instructions aren't super clear, but two heads are better than one and we figured it out. It's a lot larger than I was expecting and am glad. I can rest assured that she probably won't out grow it too fast. Just overall a beautiful crib! And you really can't beat the price for a brand new crib.
Beautiful
I looked for months for my new twin girl grandchildren, along with my daughter, and for the price they are well worth it and extremely good looking when assembled.

Love this crib.
My dad and brother assembled this beautiful crib for me just a few days after my son was born and they said it was a breeze to put together. We'll see how it fares over the next couple of years, but so far so good. My son is too young to have an opinion yet. So far I'm very happy with it.
Grandmother's pick
Grandpa and I chose this crib as a gift for our new Granddaughter.. we wanted the best and were pleased when it arrived at her home and saw how easy it was to assemble and how strong and sturdy it was once in place. It's a beautifully crafted crib and looks rich in relationship with the price. I would definitely recommend this crib to my friends.
Beautiful Crib
We just bought this crib in cherry for my daughter. It really is a beautiful crib. The color is gorgeous, the size is perfect for her nursery, and I love that it will convert to a toddler bed when she gets older. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Great Crib
We are expecting in a few months, so this review addresses the crib's quality and ease of assembly, not actual use yet. The crib arrived undamaged and was extremely simple to put together. It took less than an hour, and there were no problems with any of the parts. The wood actually looks even nicer than I had expected based on the customer pictures online. The color is not as dark as the manufacturer picture, but is still a very pretty espresso (not chocolate or black).

The best thing about this crib is the small "footprint." We have a small nursery and were concerned about how big most cribs are. We want baby to be comfortable and safe, but we didn't want an enormous crib that would dominate the room. We are very happy with the low profile of this crib. It fits perfectly, looks great, and seems of solid construction. Looking forward to using it soon!
Classic
The crib was easy to assemble and we did not have any issues with the parts. The only thing that ended up being difficult was finding a mattress with the correct dimensions--many of the mattresses available are slightly too small. However, the color is fantastic and the design is very simple and classic.
pretty crib
I got this crib after lots of search on the internet.
The color is what I looked for: it's not too dark brown, a little brighter than espresso in the picture.
And a design is very simple and it looks really really expensive. I love this.
The wood is sturdy and there is no scratch in any parts.
First time I got this crib from Amazon, I found that one part of crib was broken.
It was because of careless of delivery.
Anyway, I called Customer Service, and they directly sent me a new one. It took just a few days.
I strongly recommend this to everyone who's looking for nice, sturdy, and gorgeous crib.
Good crib, poor manufacturing
We like the simple design and assembly, however three holes were filled with glue (read: impossible to use.) On the up side, Graco's customer service was quite good and they're sending out a replacement part.

Reviews

Beautiful crib
We love our crib. It was fairly easy to put together, and arrived in excellent condition, save a small ding or two that you can hardly see. The drawer isn't the greatest...it's VERY hard to pull out, and we won't be able to store much in it as it obviously won't be able to hold much weight. I actually can see us getting rid of it in the future, as it serves more as a toe-stubber than a storage area. But the crib itself we love. It's very sturdy, and the color is beautiful. I anticipate it holding up well with our baby. (Would've given it 5 stars if the drawer was more functional).
Skip it
We ordered this crib because the price, style and color were right. However, the wood is very poor quality as is the drawer bottom. There are pre-drilled holes in the crib, some holes were in the incorrect place while other holes were drilled right over other holes making the hole way too big for the screw. Once piece of wood came with a huge crack down the middle of it. Don't waste your money on this.
good crib
The crib is good so far (lol still no baby to put in it though) it was easy to assemble. The only thing I dont like about it is that the screws are exposed on the front and sides. I would have likes some covers to put over them, it isnt a safety thing it is just a cosmetic thing. Oh and it does scratch and dent really easly, but I think that is the case with most cribs.
davinci crib
the crib was easy to assemble and looks nice. However the draw is a nightmare. It doesen't stay on the hing and causes the leg of the crib to easily seperate. I still can't get it back on properly
Love the crib
We love this crib. It's exactly what we were looking for: a convertible crib in cherry with clean lines. It does have one scratch on it which I've noticed several reviewers mention. But overall we are very happy with and little man sleeps very well in it!

I only want to keep them in the same crib for a month or so. Not too long, after that i'll keep them in their room in their own beds.
