I want to sell my bed....?

It is a headboard that has two shelves of books about it.
I'm selling it without the mattress.
I bought it before the $ 800 for 5 years.

What color should i paint my room with a captain's bed??( teen girl)?

Av. answers: First, just because a bed is boxy, it doesn't mean it's not girly. Square beds can look very nice.

Okay, so the colors...

I know someone who just painted her room peachy/ light orange, and it looks very nice. With all the sunlight, the color is very uplifting.

Maroon will make the room seem a lot smaller. My sister just painted her room dark red, and it feels kind of tiny.

Peach is nice, but with a pink and orange bedspread, you may feel overwhelmed with the color. Pink and orange make peach somewhat, so it would be like being surrounded. Also, peach can be a tricky color to pick, because if you pick the wrong shade, it can be sort of sickening.

Personally, I recommend a few different colors for the walls to maintain interest. Some people like to paint one wall a drastic color, and another wall a different drastic color, then leave two walls blank. There are a lot of variations on this; be creative if you're up to it. Sponge painting is also fun, and it's a cool way to incorporate your favorite colors, even if they are darker. For instance, maroon sponge painted on a light base wouldn't make the room seem that small.

Just remember, if you have busy looking walls, you don't want to have a busy bedspread. That means if there are polka dots on your wall, you don't want them on your bed, etc. And you also won't like the result of the entire room, walls, bed, carpet and all being the same color. It tends to be overwhelming and you would get sick of it fast.

For accessories, go for simple, femine things like little lamps, fluffy pillows, maybe posters, strings of lights, just fun little stuff. If your room is going to be a pink or orange color, try to mix it up a little. Sometimes, if the room is all color, try black, white, or brown accessories. It can have a really nice effect!
