They say humans are about 65 per cent water, but after this weekend I may be about 50 per cent bread... and five per cent alcohol.
The bread composition comes from the enormous amounts of stuffing I ate during Easter dinner, and the much-smaller, yet equally debilitating alcohol framework comes from celebrating three of my friends' birthdays in one night.
Yes, those who work at any newspaper know that when a chance at some time off comes, it is to be cherished and used as an excuse to finally "let go" after working never-ending hours each week.
So, with Easter being this past weekend, I took full advantage of stuffing my face and dubbed Easter as an ingest-as many-carbs-as-you-can weekend.
Luckily for me, my metabolism and I have worked out a deal – for now – which states whatever goes into my body does not affect my twig-like physique, except for a little love pouch in the gut area that I've learned to come to terms with.
